AISwarm: Fault-Tolerant Erlang/OTP ractor Supervision Trees & Air-Gapped AVX2 Candle Neural Swarms for Autonomous SOC Operations

Why sequential monitoring loops fail under 100,000-event/sec ransomware floodsβ€”and how AISwarm combines panic-isolated Rust actors, 3-tier priority mailboxes, zero-copy memmap2 GGUF inference, and 2-of-3 mTLS LAN quorum inside AlaskaCommand.

Executive Abstract

During a coordinated ransomware or wiper attack, an endpoint generates tens of thousands of simultaneous filesystem, registry, DNS, and socket events per second. Traditional security agents built on monolithic polling loops suffer from head-of-line blocking: slow log enrichment or LLM inference starves the containment thread, allowing encryption to complete before isolation triggers.

AISwarm (implemented in alaskaswarm and sovereign-swarm and integrated directly into AlaskaCommand's 27-crate / 80-route apex binary) solves this by bringing telecom-grade Erlang/OTP supervision hierarchies to 100% memory-safe Rust via ractor and ractor_cluster.

2. 3-Tier Priority Mailboxes & 1,450 MB RAM Ceiling

Mailbox TierQueue CapacityLatency SLARouted Events
Tier 0: CriticalContainmentBounded (Non-Dropping)< 0.8 msCanary tripwire hits, RAM key extraction, WFP host isolation
Tier 1: HighCognitiveBounded (Ring Buffer)< 45 msCross-vector PID correlation, Candle GGUF tactical verdict
Tier 2: StandardTelemetryLoad-Shedding Backpressure< 250 msRoutine DNS queries, CIS baseline checks, Merkle batching

3. Distributed mTLS LAN Gossip & 2-of-3 Airlock Quorum

Across multi-node enterprise enclaves, ractor_cluster establishes a mutual-TLS (mTLS) peer-to-peer LAN mesh with zero cloud brokers. When one workstation traps a zero-day ransomware hash or C2 IP, it broadcasts a signed SwarmThreatBulletin across the LAN in under 5 milliseconds, inoculating peer nodes before lateral movement can occur.
