Executive Abstract
In high-assurance computing environments—such as ballistic submarine networks, nuclear generation control rooms, classified SCADA enclaves, and forward-deployed tactical operations centers—connecting endpoints to external networks or the public Internet is legally and operationally forbidden. However, these air-gapped facilities still require comprehensive threat detection, incident forensics, data encryption, and ransomware rollback capabilities.
This white paper outlines the engineering design, directory layout, and deployment procedures for the Alaska Sovereign Universal USB Enclave (E:\ALASKA_SUITE). We demonstrate how all 18 standalone, pure-Rust suite components are packaged onto a single write-blocked, hardware-encrypted USB key, complete with automated Windows shortcut launchers, relative-path runtime resolution, unified launcher scripts, and cryptographic manifest verification (MANIFEST.sha256), providing an instantaneous, portable cyber command center on any isolated host.
1. Universal USB Directory Architecture
The USB enclave is structured for immediate operational deployment without software installation:
E:\ALASKA_SUITE\
├── ALASKA_COMMAND/ ──► Apex Workstation & 2D Tactical HUD (Port 8050)
├── ALASKA_NET/ ──► Pure-Rust Socket & C2 Entropy Hunter (Port 8055)
├── ALASKA_RECOVER/ ──► CoW Delta Journal & Ransomware Guard (Port 8056)
├── ALASKA_KERNEL/ ──► eBPF Telemetry & Container Drift (Port 8057)
├── ALASKA_FORENSICS/ ──► Zero-Footprint Live DFIR Fieldkit (Port 5175)
├── SUITE_TOOLS/ ──► The 13 Additional Sovereign Security Crates
├── DOCS/ ──► Complete Offline Architecture & User Manuals
├── LAUNCH_SUITE.bat ──► Master Cold-Boot Launch Orchestrator
├── MANIFEST.sha256 ──► Cryptographic Integrity Checksum Ledger
└── verify_integrity.ps1 ──► Autonomous Pre-Launch Hash Validator
2. Zero-Configuration Runtime Discovery
To ensure zero-footprint operation across disparate Windows and Linux endpoints:
1. Relative Directory Resolution: All tools determine their configuration directories, temporary caches, and evidence vaults relative to the executable path (std::env::current_exe()), eliminating hardcoded drive letters.
2. Cryptographic Manifest Verification: Prior to executing any binary, verify_integrity.ps1 recalculates the SHA-256 hash of every component against MANIFEST.sha256. If any byte has been tampered with or modified by host malware, the enclave halts launch procedures immediately.
3. Local Loopback Communication: All cross-component coordination takes place over localhost network loopbacks or named pipes, strictly bound to 127.0.0.1 and protected by anvaya-admin authorization passkeys.
3. Conclusion & Strategic Impact
The Universal Hardware Key transforms disconnected endpoints into hardened, fully monitored defense enclaves within seconds. By uniting 18 specialized, pure-Rust tools into an offline, driverless, portable media package, the Alaska Sovereign Suite ensures that defense-grade protection remains uncompromisingly available in any physical or electronic environment.
